How To Get Involved: ways you can serve....
We want to help you find the best area for you to use your God-given gifts and abilities! We have a lot of different opportunities for you to get plugged in with whatever talent God has gifted you with, whether it's teaching class, singing, doing maintenance and repairs, working with our teens/children, etc...just let us know.

Family Promise of Coastal Alabama:
Port City is a host church 4 times a year for families that have been made homeless by a series of unfortunate incidences. We provide a safe, loving environment for these families to live, eat, study, play, and worship. We need our members to cook and serve meals, wash linens, provide personal care items/small toys/games for welcome baskets and stay overnight to help our guests feel secure.
Chemo Buddies:
This is a new ministry that one of our members has started at Providence hospital. She provides patients who are starting chemo (usually alone) with a small to medium sized stuffed animal and a note explain that this is their "Chemo Buddy", a friend to love on and talk to when the medications start to take their toll. We accept donations in the church office of foyer of new or "gently loved" stuffed animals for this great work!
Suitcases for Foster Children:
There are hundreds of foster children coming into the system each year. These children arrive with all of their belongings in a plastic trash bag. We partner with Patrice Kenney of AGAPE to gather new or "gently used" luggage, totes, and backpacks so the children can have something permanent to call their own. All donations may be brought to the church office or our foyer.
